PROJECTS

PERU 2008

In partnership with the Rotary Club of San Borja Sur, Central California Coast Rotary Clubs, the Peruvian Military and the former Cal Poly Chapter of the Wheelchair Foundation we delivered over 500 wheelchairs to very remote areas of Peru with drop points in Lima, Cuzco, and Puno.  We had to chance to visit multiple orphanages and create new friendships on this inaugural trip.

Josh went on this trip, and he has fond memories visiting the local municipalities and delivering a large amount of chairs to disabled children.

OAXACA MEXICO 2009

In partnership with DIF Mexico and the former Cal Poly Chapter of the Wheelchair Foundation we delivered over 500 wheelchairs to very remote areas of Oaxaca, Mexico.  We had the chance to learn local customs, try the delicious foods including  traditional mole sauces, and aid in helping countless individuals receive the gift of mobility.

Josh and Nick went on this trip, and they remember it as one of the more remote places they have been to as Oaxaca remains landlocked with mountains surrounding the entire valley region.

CHINA 2010

In 2010, Josh and Nick delivered over 100 wheelchairs to communities on the outskirts of Shanghai, primarily to seniors.  They worked closely with the Wheelchair Foundation's China office to coordinate this distribution and subsequent ceremonies including home deliveries in more remote areas.

BANGLADESH 2010

In partnership with the Haque Steel Group (HSG Foundation) we delivered over 100 wheelchairs to very remote areas of Bangladesh.

Josh and Nick went on this trip, and they remember it as one of the most populated places they had ever been too.  With over 200,000 people moving to the capital city each year to be closer to core services, it's easy to see how many people get left behind.  We hope to return one day and bring more chairs!  It was an eye-opening experience to say the least.

SLOVENIA 2013

From October 1-5, 2013 we embarked on a mission trip to bring aid to those affected by the conflicts and circumstances in the former Yugoslavian countries.  In partnership with the Rotary Club of San Jose, Rotary Club of Domzale, Ana's Little Star, and the Slovenian National Army, we distributed over 115 wheelchairs throughout the country along with a handicap accessible van.

Our recipient partners included the Intermunicipal Association of Disabled Persons in Slovenia along with the University Medical Center that focuses on rehabilitation to amputees and low-income patients in need of a wheelchairs during their rehabilitation at the hospital.

We were greeted with a warm welcome from our host partners and look forward to continued cooperation with these amazing organizations.
